Since the site went online in June 2000 I’ve been monitoring certain internet stores for the availability of Ayler’s records. This was never intended as a definitive list of what was currently available but as a rough guide to what was easy to get hold of through the normal channels. The stores were chosen because I'd dealt with them before and that was the extent of my recommendation. During the last five years there have been various changes in the internet CD marketplace, such as the rise of ebay and the introduction of the Amazon marketplace, and it's always a good idea to shop around to get the best deal.

A few words of advice:

There are different versions of Ayler albums available under different titles, so check the Complete List page in the Discography if you're in doubt.
Live at Slug's has been issued under different titles, in two volumes, or as a double CD - the Lonehill Jazz version of Slug’s is confusingly called Complete Live at Slug’s Saloon - it isn’t, it’s missing a track.
Although New York Eye And Ear Control is now generally listed as an Ayler CD, the Japanese import version of Sonny’s Time Now is usually listed under Sunny Murray (or sometimes Sonny Murray).
Bells and Prophecy are available separately or on a single disc. If you're looking for the economic option, check the track listing.
